I worked with VA hospitals for 25 years.
The last 5 years at the VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach Florida.
During the year 2003 to 2004, the backlog in the Imaging Department reached thousands of cases without interpretations
even for months. (A totally criminal situation) ignored by the administration for prolonged time.
There was retaliatory action by the administration and chief of service, against whistle blowers.
The corruption was under estimated by the visits of the Inspector General.
Cleaning up the system from above is urgent for our veterans.

We ask our military to defend our country but then when they need the help of the government we always fall short. The VA has been a roller coaster for so many depending on the state you live in. Some state are better then others.
Many of theses brave men and women will never be the same and many will always need help.

Yes they need help and deserve all.
Not everything at the Va's is bad, most is outstanding including doctors, nurses, technologists, clerks ans so on.
An undesirable small number of bureaucrats, some of them in the above categories is damaging the system. (Only a handful of them is needed to cripple a large medical facility).

I want to know what in the h_ll is going on? Our veterans deserve nothing but the best. I don't want anyone pointing a finger at this administration or that administration. I want results! I believe that we all need to demand results NOW!
Yes, the problem is not new. Yes, the problem is being caused by a narrow percent of the administrative personnel within the VA. Yes, the problem will require attention and may take some time to solve.
What I don't want to see happen is the VA/Government put more idiots into high-level possitions within the VA to "study the problem". Maybe what we need to do is cut several administrative jobs and hire more technicians, doctors, and nurses to alleviate the problem. Maybe what we need to do is make this an issue in future elections.
Not until EVERY veteran gets the healthcare promised by the government, not until EVERY veteran is treated with the respect and gratitude that they are owed will this issue be resolved. Demand action NOW!
