"Our bodies may shrug off a relatively big one-time dose, yet suffer from a smaller amount delivered continuously over a half century, perhaps subtly stirring allergies or nerve damage. Pregnant women, the elderly and the very ill might be more sensitive."

What does the FDA have to do with this?
You take meds and your body eliminates some of the medication in the urine
I also question what people do with outdated medication - prescription and over the counter. How many simply flush them down the toilet or put them in the trash - goes from the landfill into the ground water
Think about it the next time you want to dispose of outdated meds

"To be sure, the concentrations of these pharmaceuticals are tiny, measured in quantities of parts per billion or trillion, far below the levels of a medical dose. Also, utilities insist their water is safe."
So ... why scare people with this story. Pure water will kill you, folks. It will leach the minerals out of your body.

This article ticks me off. Guess I'll go have a glass of mood stabilizers.
Plus who knows what else is in there.I know it isn't right, but the images of children drinking green water over the world keeps coming in my mind.
