Prior to the banning of ddt malaria was nearly wiped out. Then along came Rachel Carson, who claimed ddt was killing birds and making the shells of eagles eggs weak, therefore, it was supposedly more difficult for their eggs to be hatched. In a typical fit of knee jerk reaction ddt was banned in the US and then by the rest of the world via the UN. Now that we know that the claims about ddt were a crock is the ban lifted? No, millions have died and are dying of malaria, mostly children, we give them mosquito nets. This is just another example of how left wing environmental policies hurt and kill people.
