  I think sometimes people forget that plastic surgery is just that: Surgery.

  It hurts a lot, it's not simple, and it's not a fix all.

  I'm not a fan if it can be prevented, I mean who wants to be 'perfect' anyway?

      See, I agree with you. I'm not totally against it, however, I am against it for the wrong reasons.

      Surgery won't make you more confident. It won't fix your self esteem issues. You'll still be insecure, but you'll just look really good in the mean time.

      I think sometimes people forget that self esteem doesn't only come from what you look like. People just seem to focus on that, when there is so much more to a person.

  A very low percentage of plastic surgery is reconstructive, however... most people are trying to be perfect. Your examples are sort of lame, I doubt anyone would argue with correcting a disfigurement.

  I believe it's an idividual decision. Unless it's for health reasons, I think parent's should not fall into the category of wanting their kids perfect and having them have nose jobs, breast enhancements, nips and tucks until they stop growing and are at least 21 and can pay for it themselves.

  Although perhaps a cliche, Beauty is More than Skin Deep. You might be able to alter the outside but the inside is still the same. There are other ways to boost self confidence besides cutting bits of your body off or adding extras.

  necessary to undergo surgery for improving the beauty.
