When I'm in the mood for munchies, I force myself to drink at least half a glass of water first. Sometimes I'm just thirsty, and it manifests itself as hunger.

I can very much relate to this story. I am like eating none or a lot when I am depressed.

I do that all the time, whether it is because I am stressed, depressed or just plain bored. They used to call it comfort eating but half the time, I do it for the sake of it. Only good thing is that I am partial to mixed nuts and dried fruit which are both reasonably good for you so long as I don't down the whole lot while sitting in front of this computer!
