Fascism certainly is an overused label, but it does refer to an economic program: concentrated benefits in corporate-state collusion, socialized risk and cost to the taxpayer; heavy top-down economic nationalization and central administration; a rightwing socialism with an emphasis on co-opting, rather than totally displacing, centers of authority such as big business and the church.

    Good find. It boggles me how GWB is blasted as a conservative. He isn't a libertarian/conservative. His definition of compassionate conservative is just another word for government interventionist. BHO is correct, Sen McCain is a moderate in the same vein as GWB. Thing is, we aren't going to get less intervention with BHO, but more!
